Finished in iconic Woodcote Green, this lovely ex-Japan MG RV8 was purchased by the vendor from one of our sales in 2019, and comes with an advisory-free MoT to 11th August 2026. The odometer shows 6693km, which represents 106,693km (66,295 miles).
In the vendor's words: “Ownership has been a fantastic experience. The car has been 100% reliable and never let me down. It has only been used in dry conditions, and the engine oil has not needed topping up at any time. As you will see, the car has been well looked after by myself (ex-mechanic) and the MG Owner's Club in Swavesey. There have been no advisories on any MoT in the time I have had the car.”
The MG returned to the UK from Japan in 1999, and spent several years on display inside a car museum near Chester. We're told it has lived under cover its entire life. It comes with an extensive history file, including its original Japanese maintenance book, a stack of maintenance receipts and MoTs, and a meticulous printed record of care by the present owner. Recent work has also included new Spax adjustable dampers, new convertible roof, brake discs and calipers, high-flow radiator and coolant pump etc. These documents are accompanied by a period sales brochure, an MG RV8 book, Blaupunkt handbooks, and spare keys.
The vendor advises that “the damping of the needle on the speedometer has gone and would benefit from repair”.
First registration in the UK was on 2nd June 1999, and the V5C shows 3 former UK keepers.
